On two halves of an ABE'S plain or savoury bagel, spread some basil pesto. Then place one big field mushroom on each half, and put a good sized wedge of blue cheese on top (or brie, if blue is too, well, 'blue' for you), top with a couple of fresh basil leaves if you have some, and put it all under the grill while you open the wine. Take it out when the cheese melts, and the aroma is too good to wait any longer, and enjoy!
